Hollywood, CA – Hip-hop artist SK has just released his independent debut album “The Testament”. SK is working with A&R Select, the world's leading artist development firm, based in Los Angeles, to help promote his music.
"The Testament” is available online at your favorite music sites such as ITunes, Amazon, Rhapsody, & Napster. You may also purchase a physical copy of the album for a discounted price at www.cdbaby.com/sksongs.

The D.C.-based rapper's music offers the grit of real life through smooth hip-hop grooves, lyrical mastery and solid production. SK says that “music makes me feel as if it's the soundtrack of my life.”
“It's a particularly poignant statement,” according to a spokesman for A&R Select. “SK's rap is heavily rooted in real life. This is no 'bling and bimbos' fantasy glam rap.”
SK asserts that his rap is “me staying true to myself – real life situations, experiences and witnesses as seen through my eyes.” But he says that while his music is a hard look at life as it is – not how we'd like it to be – the cleansing of facing reality through music also offers him – and his listeners – freedom from the downside of life. “I escape, relax and get inspired for life through music.” He sees hip-hop as empowerment. Confronting the truth through music gives the power to overcome the struggles of life.
“I'm inspired by everyday life,” SK says. “People, situations and experiences that I have encountered.”
SK has shared the stage with Fat Joe, performing at The Budweiser One Night Stand Concert Series in D.C.'s Platinum Night Club. While making music under the name Vital, he recorded the title track for the film “Thug Life,” whose soundtrack also boasted songs from Snoop Dogg and Kurupt & Daz.
Touring is set this fall with The Real Hip-Hop Network. SK was booked as an opener for Kanye West, Rihanna, Ne-Yo, Eve, Akon, Swizz Beatz, Soulja Boy, Cassidy, T.I., Trey Songs & Mario – along with The Lissen Group – for Power House 2007 in Philadelphia. SK is also set to perform at the Axis-Radius Club in Phoenix, AZ for NBA All-Star '09. The show will headline Busta Rhymes and Ron Browz.
